Monika Částková

Dancer

Monika Částková graduated from the Duncan Center Conservatory in 2010. As part of her studies, she went on an study stay at the Escuela superior de danca in Lisbon. After her studies, she completed a Limon technique course at the Limon Institute (New York). In 2012, she started undergraduate studies at the Music Academy of Performing Arts, majoring in choreography, and thus had the opportunity to go to the Institut del teatre (Barcelona) for a year as part of the Erasmus program. She attended summer workshops in China in 2015 and 2016. In 2018, she received a master's degree in choreography from the Music Academy of Performing Arts.

 

Monika started collaborating with Lenka Vagnerová in 2018 on the production of Sternenhoch. Thanks to this production her dream of becoming a member of  Lenka Vagnerová & Company came true and she is still a proud member of the company.

 

She also collaborated with the Farm in the Cave theater studio on the productions Odtržení (2016), Waiting Room (2016) and Forever Together (2017).

 

Monika works as a teacher at the Duncan Center Conservatory. She also gives regular evening classes of Lenka Vagnerová & Company.

 

As a choreographer, she had the opportunity to create several original pieces. In 2020, she choreographed Krajina snů as part of a composed evening by Lenka Vagnerová & Company. She created the production Arvore in 2010, which was awarded for the best duet at the Soloduo festival in Hungary (2011) and performed in Japan (2013). This was followed by the choreographies Open your chest in collaboration with the French Institute in Prague (2014), Start point in collaboration with Martina Hajdyla Lacová (2017), Room No. F44.81 (2018) in collaboration with Helena Ratajová, and other pieces.

 

Monika Částková is currently on maternity leave.
